1 · Acceptance
By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using ClinicalVillage ("we," "us," or "the platform"), you ("you" or "user") agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the platform.
2 · Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a legally binding agreement to use ClinicalVillage. If you are using the platform on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these terms.
3 · Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@clinicalvillage.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information at registration and to update that information as it changes. Misrepresentation may result in account suspension or termination.
4 · Membership & payment
Student memberships are billed monthly or annually, in advance, in U.S. dollars, at the price stated on the pricing page. Memberships renew automatically until canceled.
You may cancel at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not provide refunds for the unused portion of a paid period, except where required by law.
Preceptors and clinical sites do not pay any fee to list on ClinicalVillage.
5 · User conduct
You agree not to:
- Misrepresent your identity, credentials, or affiliations
- Solicit payment or fees from other users outside of any formal arrangement permitted by the platform
- Use the platform to harass, threaten, defame, or discriminate against any person
- Attempt to circumvent the platform to bypass the student membership
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the platform
- Upload malicious code or files
6 · Your content
You retain ownership of the content you post. By submitting content (profile information, listings, inquiries, reviews, documents), you grant ClinicalVillage a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content for the purpose of operating the platform.
You represent that you have the right to share any content you upload and that it does not violate any third-party rights, laws, or these terms.
7 · Verification
Preceptor verification is performed by our administrative team based on documents you submit. Verification is a representation of our review at a point in time — it is not a guarantee of current licensure, competency, or fitness for any particular placement. Students and clinical sites are responsible for performing their own due diligence before entering into a clinical relationship.
8 · Placements & disclaimers
ClinicalVillage is a directory. We do not arrange, supervise, or guarantee any clinical placement, and we are not a party to any agreement between users. We do not provide medical, legal, financial, or clinical training advice. Any rotation, mentorship, or placement is solely between the participating parties.
9 · Intellectual property
All platform code, design, trademarks, and content (excluding user-submitted content) are owned by ClinicalVillage or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works without prior written permission.
10 · Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these terms or are otherwise harming the platform or its users. You may close your account at any time by contacting support@clinicalvillage.com.
11 · Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ClinicalVillage shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12 · Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll let active members know about material changes via email and an in-platform notice at least 14 days before the new terms take effect.
13 · Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which ClinicalVillage is incorporated, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
